Last week the X-men First Class trailer was launched on YouTube. Just to set things straight, X-Men from Marvel Comics firstly saw daylight in 1963, that’s 48 years ago. From that moment at least 34 storylines were created and countless of mini-stories were a fact. What does a subject with such a rich history do on the launch of its official trailer?
Not quite a ‘been there done that’ answer here. The trailer, launched on February 10th generated in its first two days a smashing 1,2million views already. That’s 430 people per minute, non-stop. More than 8,200 people voted of which 96% liked it. The X-Men channel has 724 subscribers. Yes 724.

HD video in improved Flash Player |
 |
|
| Adobe has improved their Flash player, bringing it to version 10.2 featuring a Stage Video capability. What can we expect from this improvement? With this new capability, Flash Player will allow users to view 1080p video with only using 1 to 15 percent CPU usage on ordinary desktop systems. Additionally the Stage Video enables websites to use the full hardware acceleration. This contributes to the high quality video without using horrible processing power. Next to it, the upgrade also provides a multiple monitor screen support. This means a great experience, brilliant performance and when going mobile, a longer battery life.

The update for mobile devices is nevertheless scheduled later on this year. According to Adobe’s Tom Nguyen (Product Manager, Flash Platform Runtimes), Adobe will go more into details regarding the mobile package during this week’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
In order to enjoy the HD quality as a viewer, website developers need to update their video players and especially the SWF player file as well. Furthermore, no additional enhancements are required. For more information read the original post on Infoworld.com.
